Boa Tarde a todos!!!

Escrevo agora de Belo Horizonte, onde nossa viagem terminou!!
Os desembarques foram tranqüilos. Neste momento, todos os intercambistas já estão em casa na companhia de suas famílias ou a caminho de casa, e nós da Terra Brasil, só temos que agradecer a todos vocês, Rotarianos, pela oportunidade de realizarmos mais uma viagem bem sucedida, bem como aos intercambistas, suas famílias no exterior e anfitriãs. Gostaria muito de agradecer nosso casal de Chaperones Luis Marcelo e Simone, do distrito 4640 pelo apoio e muitas risadas. À nossa médica Dra Máirica por cuidar bem dos estudantes e virar uma “big sister” para eles! À Fê, nossa nova e competente monitora pelo profissionalismo e muitas conversas e muitas risadas!! Daqui a 15 dias embarco para a tão esperada viagem ao Nordeste do Brasil de Novembro/Dezembro! Vejo vocês na próxima aventura!!!

Good afternoon!!!

I write now from Belo Horizonte, where our trip ended. At this moment, all the exchange students are at home, with their host families or on their way home. And we, from Terra Brasil, would like to thank you a lot: Rotarians, Exchange students, host and natural families, for the opportunity to organize this great trip. I’d like to say thanks too to our Chaperones of district 4640, Luis Marcelo and Simone for the support and laughs during the trip; Thanks to our doctor Máirica, for taking care of the students so much and became their “big sister”! Also thanks to Fê, our new and really competent coordinator, for the hard work and looooong talks and laughs!! 15 days from now I’m going to the so much expected Northeast November/December trip! So, I’ll talk to you at the next adventures!

Bonito - last news from here!!!

Bom Diaaaaaa!!!

Depois de 04 sensacionais dias em Bonito, termina agora a primeira viagem do ano rotário de 2010/2011 da Terra Brasil Turismo.
Todos os dias aqui foram maravilhosos e os passeios de tirar o fôlego!! Alem do Snorkelling, também fomos ao Parque das Cachoeiras e nos divertimos muito no passeio de bote (rafting) do Rio Formoso. Ontem não deu para visitarmos a Gruta do Lago Azul devido à chuva, porém fomos ate a gruta São Miguel. Todos adoraram!! E a noite...inesquecivel!! Tivemos um encontro com Rotary de Bonito quando os estudantes trocaram flâmulas, pins e doaram livros e em seguida o tão esperado TALENT SHOW!! Foi um sucesso com mais de 10 apresentações de vários países diferentes!! O Rotary de Bonito também organizou a apresentação de um grupo de dança local, todos adoraram!! Depois, muita festa com direito a muita dança e diversão!

Estamos saindo de Bonito daqui a pouquinho, e assim que chegar em Belo Horizonte (sede da Terra Brasil Turismo) eu mando as ultimas noticias!!

Good Morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After four awesome days in Bonito, the first trip of the Rotarian year 2010/2011 finishes now.

All tours we made here were marvelous and breathless! We went to swim and have fun at Parque das Cachoeiras and we had a lot of fun at the rafting at Formoso river! Yesterday we were supposed to visit the Blue Lagoon cave, yet due to rain the cave was closed, so we went to São Miguel Cave! And at night….unforgetable!! We had the meeting with Bonito’s Rotary club, so the students changed flags and pins, donated books to the public library and after this we had the so expected TALENT SHOW!! It was a total success with more than 10 different presentations of many different countries. Bonito rotary also organized a presentation of a local dance group: it was really great!! Just after we had a party with a dj: we danced a lot! What a great night!

In a while we will leave Bonito, and I’ll send more news as soon as I arrive at Belo Horizonte, Terra Brasil Turismo’s office!

Bonito - Welcome!!

Boa Tarde!!!!!

Escrevo agora de Bonito/MS, que com certeza faz jus ao nome!

Hoje cedo começamos nosso passeio por essa cidade, e fomos fazer snorkelling no Rio Sucuri. Todos ficaram maravilhados com a quantidade de peixes e com a transparência da água. Realmente inesquecível! Almoçamos na fazenda e agora todos estão aqui no hotel, descansando e curtindo a deliciosa infra-estrutura do hotel que inclui piscina, sauna e ate pista de Cooper!! Nossa aventura aqui esta somente começando, e logo logo mando mais noticias/fotos!!

Good Afternoon!!

I write now from Bonito in Mato Grosso do Sul state. Bonito means beautiful in Portuguese, and for sure the name is just what this region is!!

Today early we started our tours here, and we went snorkeling at Sucuri river. Everyone was amazed with the really clean and clear water and the many varieties of fishes. Really unforgettable!! We had lunch at the farm and now everybody is here at the hotel, resting and enjoying the facilities of the hotel like swimming pool, sauna and even a running track! Our adventure here is just starting, and really soon I will send more pictures and news!!

What are they doing today?

O QUE ELES ESTÃO FAZENDO HOJE?

Exchange students are today getting in contact with Bonito's clear and fresh water! After a nice breakfast, they started the tours around Bonito's land part moving foward to the visit of 6 amazing waterfalls in the region. Lunch went nice as they start expecting the afternoon's boat rides. At night, a tour around the beautiful town of Bonito is predicted! Pictures and more reports soon!

Os intercambistas estão hoje conhecendo as águas claras e puras de Bonito. Depois de um bom café-da-manhã, eles começaram os passeios pela parte terrestre de Bonito passando para a visita de 6 incríveis cachoeiras da região. O almoço transcorreu bem enquanto eles começavam a esperar pelos passeios de bote à tarde. À noite, está pervisto um passeio pela pequena cidade de Bonito. Fotos e mais depoimentos em breve!

Hey, pantanal is amazing! You wake up, see “alligators” and “arara azul”. It is perfect! I am from the group 4, and today we went to a little Safari. It was really great, and we’ve seen a lot of birds.

Pantanal is really beautiful, you should have visit it!

It’s the third day in Pantanal and we almost did all the activities we’re supposed to do. I went on a Safari and saw looooots of birds and stuff, I went fishing for Piranhas which was quite amazing, because we saw them and could touch them, but didn’t kill them. Tonight we’re having a big “goodbye Pantanal” party and tomorrow we’ll go on to Bonito camp; we’re so looking forward! It’s just amazing! Besos, Kathie from Germany

Olá a todos!!


Fiquei um tempo sem dar notícia, pois aqui no Pantanal a internet não estava funcionando e só voltou hoje!!! Mas isso foi muito bom para todos entrarem no clima da viagem e virarem realmente Pantaneiros!!!

 Nesse momento todos estão fazendo os últimos passeios antes de partirmos para Bonito! Vou contar um pouquinho dos dias que passamos em nossa Pousada no meio do Pantanal Sul Mato-grossense.

No nosso primeiro dia, após o café da manhã, tivemos nossa dinâmica de apresentação dos intercambistas e da coordenação da viagem. Na orientação geral, passamos dicas de como aproveitar melhor a viagem, como cuidar da saúde (com ajuda de nossa médica) e claro, todas as regras a serem seguidas!

A tarde começaram nossos primeiros passeios por aqui. Como estamos em grande quantidade de pessoas, separamos os grupos em quatro grupos menores para o melhor aproveitamento de todos os passeios. Cada turma fez um tour diferente: caminhada, cavalgada, safári e pescaria! Todos adoraram os passeios e a pousada!! Todo dia está fazendo muito sol e o clima, apesar de quente, esta agradável! Tivemos a oportunidade de ver Araras Azuis todas as manhãs e no final das tardes, ver capivaras andando e nadando nas bacias na frente e atrás do hotel, tuiuiús (símbolo do Pantanal) muito grandes fazendo seus espetaculares vôos e claro...jacarés, MUITOS jacarés!!

Ontem a noite fizemos uma festinha com direito à muito churrasco e forró!!

Foi tudo tão tão tão bom que só mostrando as fotos e relatos de intercambistas para vocês verem! Seguem aqui algumas fotos (tem muito mais no site) e alguns relatos de estudantes sobre a nossa grande aventura até agora!!

Hello you all!!

I did not write before because here at Pantanal the internet and the telephone weren’t working (just came back today), what was really good so all the students really lived a “pantaneiro`s life”!!

The students are making now the last tours here before we go to Bonito! I’ll tell now a little about the days we have spent here, at our Hotel in the middle of Pantanal Sul Mato-grossense.

In our first day, after breakfast, the exchange students and coordination members introduced themselves. During the general orientation, we gave them some tips to enjoy better the trip, how to take care of the health (with the help of our doctor) and explained the rules for the trip.

In the afternoon, we started our first tours at Pantanal. As our group is big, we divided the group into 4 smaller groups, so they could enjoy the tours better: trekking, horseback riding, safari and fishing! Everyone loved the tours and the “hotel”. The sun shinned every day, and although it is really sunny and hot, the weather is pleasant. At these days, we had the opportunity to see blue macaws every morning and at end of the afternoons, see capybaras walking and swimming at the river in front of and behind the hotel, huge Tuiuiús (symbol of Pantanal) really near us and of course…alligators… a LOT of alligators!!

Last night we had a small party with barbecue and a lot of Forró (a Brazilian dance)!

Everything was so so so good that I can just explain better showing pictures and students reports!! See here are some photos (we have a some more at our website) and some student’s report about our Great adventure so far!!

Pantanal - What's happening?

PANTANAL - O QUE ESTÁ ACONTECENDO?

First day at Pantanal was full of activities! Exchange students had the chance to explore the region on safaris, horseback riding, trekkings and even fishing for piranhas! Today, tours and activities started a little later. Tonight, a typical dinner surrounded by a bonfire is expected! More news and pictures later!

O primeiro dia no Pantanal foi cheio de atividades! Os intercambistas tiveram a chance de explorar a região nos safáris, passeios a cavalo, a pé e até mesmo pescando piranhas! Hoje, os passeios e atividades começaram um pouco mais tarde. À noite, está previsto um jantar típico em volta de uma fogueira! Mais novidades e fotos em breve!

We arrived in Araçatuba / SP! The journey so far was great and all is going well! I am here at the hotel with students who boarded in Belo Horizonte and Uberaba! Tomorrow we will meet students from this region and continue our trip to Pantanal!
The bus that left Cascavel also has arrived in Campo Grande, and they are also OK!

The trip has just started!

2010 Pantanal and Bonito Trip has just started! Exchange students have embarked at the office of Terra Brasil Turismo in Belo Horizonte (MG-Brazil). After a welcome breakfast, everyone got his/her name tags and bags to the official Terra Brasil's bus. Also joined the boarding, besides the coordination, our doctor who will join the group during all the trip!
Some host parents were also here to say 'goodbye' to the exchange students!

A viagem Pantanal e Bonito 2010 acaba de começar! Os intercambistas embarcaram em frente ao escritório da Terra Brasil Turismo em Belo Horizonte (MG-Brasil). Depois de um receptivo café-da-manhã, todo pegaram suas etiquetas de identificação e malas em direção ao ônibus oficial da Terra Brasil. Além da coordenação, nossa médica que irá acompanhar o grupo por toda a viagem também embarcou.
Alguns pais anfitriões também estiveram aqui para se despedir dos intercambistas!
